About the Business Recovery Planners Association of Southeastern Wisconsin
The Business Recovery Planners Association of Southeastern Wisconsin (BRPASW) is an independent professional association of people employed in all aspects of disaster recovery, contingency and business planning. It is a not-for-profit association dedicated to providing educational opportunities, networking with peers and the exchange of information about business continuity issues. BRPASW is led by a member elected Board of Directors. To review BRPASW Board of Directors information, click here.
History and facts about BRPASW
BRPASW was founded and started in Madison in 1994 with 8 initial members, and was initially known as the Business Resumption Planners Association.
Paul Burgee of CUNA Mutual was the founding president, and current BRPASW member Ralph Borzyczkowski was vice-president.
Because of the obvious geographic barriers, the BPRASW split from BRPA to form an independent group in 1995, and became incorporated.
Ralph Borzyczkowski was the president for the first three years, followed by Tony Seeber. George Sweet was the founding Vice President, and the Treasurer was Don Groth.
BRPASW has held a conservative line on expenses, with membership dues remaining at the same level as they were when the group was founded.
In 2006, BRPASW started a Mentorship program to help new members, and those new to DR/BC to develop stronger expertise from more knowledgable members. To learn more about the Mentorship program, click here.
